104 eastgate Louth was once known as the “ Leeds and Leicester boot company “, with huge old gas lamps hanging into the pavement.

Mr T.Marris opened his first shop across the road, but after only a few years realised it was too small.
104 had been a “Wyles“ shoe shop and was a little too large , so he split it into two shops, renting one half to an estate agent. A few years later he expanded back to one shop and eventually extended into the back garden to the size we currently are now.
We also have a unit up on Louth`s industrial estate to store larger rolls and fitting materials etc.
The shop next door at 106 used to be the very first “Curry`s” which moved to the corner shop before Curry`s closed down altogether.
Louth is situated on the Meridian line, which is marked by a wall plate and line in the pavement a few more shops down.
Louth also has the tallest parish church spire in England.
